SWOP-Minneapolis is a small, peer-based, volunteer-run sex worker support collective. We focusing on harm reduction, outreach, and building community for sex workers in Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN.
We are supported in part by the Sex Workers Outreach Project, a national social justice network dedicated to the fundamental human rights of sex workers and their communities. SWOP focuses on ending violence and stigma through education and advocacy. For more information about SWOP, visit our national website.
We are committed to on-going personal growth and education so that we can uphold, to the best of our abilities, the anti-racism and anti-oppression values held by SWOP-USA. We all come from different backgrounds and have different experiences, and we strive to create a place where everyone can share and contribute without fear of judgement.
SWOP-Minneapolis is committed to ensure that our meetings and events are accessible to all sex workers. If getting to or participating in meetings presents a challenge, we encourage you to inform us of potential barriers so we can work together and try to find a workable solution.
To help ensure that everyone has a fair chance to be hard at our meetings, we adhere to a particular set of ground rules and guidelines. You can download SWOP Minneapolis' governance statements here:
